Newham needs School Governors

black toddlerSchool Governor vacancies currently exist in schools in Newham, and YOU can volunteer and make a difference in your local community.

As a School Governor you would be working with a team of people to ensure that children receive the best standard of education possible.  Training is available to all governors and you'll be amazed at how much you will learn!

You don't need to have any specific skills or knowledge of education to become a School Governor.  In fact anyone who is aged 18 or over and has an average of 6-8 hours a month to spare (mostly in the evenings during term time) is welcome to apply.  The most effective Governing Bodies consist of Governors with a blend of experiences, from different cultures and age groups, so whatever your background you could add enormous value to a local school.

For further information about becoming a school governor, visit www.sgoss.org.uk, or contact School Governors' One-Stop Shop on 0870 241 3883 or by email at info@sgoss.org.uk

Let's make the most of this opportunity of having a Christian influence in the schools in Newham!
